We are a group of military veterans and an auxiliary from the U.S. and Canada. We exist to increase the camaraderie that veterans enjoy, raise money to support charities that support veterans and assist those who have a medical device need.
We were originally organized to execute flag ceremonies. A small group of veterans volunteered to post and retire the colors at SunNFun (previous name of Sun Outdoors Sarasota) for veterans' activities such as Veterans’ Day and the annual veterans’ appreciation dinner. From that humble beginning blossomed into an organization that hosts 18 events each season from December through March. In 2022 we organized an Auxiliary with members supporting all activities. One auxiliary member is also a member of the leadership team.
Our leadership team consists of a commander and four executive board members.
Commander: Randy Krug COL USA (ret); Randy is a 32-year veteran of the Army National Guard and the active duty Army. His final assignments were in the Military District of Washington. When not enjoying the sun and fun of Sun Outdoors he resides with his wife in Arlington, VA.
